The graphics are very pixelated, with a few more details to fill in to, and the animation of the character and enemies are very inconsistent. There isn't much dialogue, but the sound effects are really nice and the soundtrack is really beautiful, and some of the enemies are pretty cute to the point of disturbing if played with care. As with most of my previous games it's a simple turn-based strategy, basically you move your units around the map with a stick and move them as you need them to attack and defend a building, or if you attack there they attack elsewhere to help defend. The first thing that stands out is how much detail has been thrown away. As I noted, the 2x3 tile itself was so large, that the image quality wasn't very good. The grass looks pretty much as before, not much difference between them. The other major thing is the difference in the textures and how the environment looks. The originals did not have any trees, flowers, grass, etc, but here we have it with no trees to be seen, just large trees sitting in the middle. This is where the game was meant to be as far as the textures go. They didn't bother adding any detail beyond what was available.The first thing that jumps out at you is how bad the lighting in the stadium (especially the sky) looks. You really can't tell a difference between what was on screen and the ground or grass. Everything is very flat and uniform in this area. Now the grass looks pretty decent, but all I see is a big pile of rocks and dirt all the time. At least the ground is now lit in such a way though, making it even less noticeable.
